Where I live (southern Brazil), in the winter, the temperatures hit 0°C or even less with good frequency, what sounds like no big deal at all for most of you guys, but ALL of our clothes "perspire" and let the wind pass through the tissue pores and touch the skin, what is just horrible. This boy was clearly facing the same. Aron Susut I wouldn’t want to go walking outside without proper clothes in that temperature. And I have worked outside in -40 temps. Not to mention looking at him it would seem the air is fairly humid yet which will make that cold really sink in. Read the comments about people bragging how much colder it is in their country not knowing this kid had to walk and probably couldn’t afford warmer clothes.

I swear some people don’t realize how privileged they are. I see so many "kind hearted" Canadians here comparing their luxurious life by judging a small boy who lived in a mud hut and couldn't afford a winter coat. Well done. If you read the update - he lived in a mud hut that barely protected him from the wind and cold. Now their life is better, they moved to a two story house near the school. His story brought in money to the school as well and the students are inspired by the rest of the worlds generosity. Jackie Smith no hat, his hair was frozen. Do children in Canada walk almost 4 miles each way. We in the US may be your poor cousin in many ways but most kids don’t walk over a mile.
