Trout has finished top 4 for 6 straight years in MVP voting, he leads the league in WAR year in and year out, his accomplishments at his age are comparable to some of the best ever. Yes, there are other teams in baseball besides the Yankees and Red Sox but these teams have the best record in either league and they play in the same division so it's exciting watching them try to one up each other to see who will finish first and who will have to play for the Wild Card spot.

I was at The first game he played at Yankee Stadium. We sat in rf right in row 2. The fans were on him so bad. Calling him names and razzing him all night. He played bad getting caught stealing and not having s great YS debut. But now....even as a Yankee fan I can say he is an animal. At bat of the year? I don't care. I will take the excitement, his joy, the win and 3.5 game lead right now. Gonna be fun race with the Yankees the rest of the year. So far in my opinion it's the best at bat of the season, I'm not saying this because I'm a Red Sox fan it was a great at bat. Still have the 2nd half of the season to go so anything can happen. Local radio station runs a contest that if any Red Sox player hits a grand slam on the 99th pitch of the game someone would win $99,999. Guess what pitch number this was.........it was pitch 98. All the Mookie Betts Kingpin Shirt got was a free gas card. He had his eyes right on that ball on every pitch and he went down to get a very difficult ball it was a real good pitch it did what it was supposed to do but the better have the best of them that time.
